Today my friend Eleny, is taking over Mingling With Mickey to talk all about her Disney essentials! Be sure to follow her on Instagram when you're done reading, you will love her!
I am an over packer. Whenever I go to Disney, I end up bringing like 20 shirts and 15 pairs of ears because I’ve gotta have options, ya know? But, I have some essentials that I take along with me that would be hard for me to live without at Disney.
First of all, I have to pack sunscreen #paleprobs and #Floridaprobs. I love Sun Bum Sunscreen Lotion. I’ll admit, I first bought it because of the cute packaging, but it has become my go-to sunscreen. At $15.99, it’s a little more expensive, but it’s so moisturizing, not sticky or oily, and it smells amazing! It’s also hypoallergenic and vegan. I get the SPF 30 and put it on right before I head to the parks. You can find it in most stores, but I’ve included the link here.
I have naturally wavy hair, so I usually curl my hair when I’m in Disney. The Florida humidity makes it hard to keep it looking cute, but I have a few hair products that help to tame my hair while in the sun and heat all day. I love Moroccanoil products, especially the Moroccanoil Treatment Light. This oil helps condition, detangle, speed up drying time, and makes my hair smooth without weighing my fine hair down. Serious win. You can use it when your hair is wet and also when it’s dry. I get the light version of the treatment since I have fine, blonde hair, but they do have a regular version of the treatment for darker hair. I’ve included the link to the light treatment here. I get the 0.85 oz. size for traveling and it has lasted me a long time.
My other favorite hair product is It’s a 10 leave-in conditioner. Since I have blonde highlighted hair, I get the blonde version here, but I also love the keratin version here. This leave-in conditioner is for use on wet hair, and it helps restore strength, eliminate frizz, detangle, and many other benefits. The blonde conditioner also helps tone hair color and reduces fading (praise hands emoji.)
The Florida heat and humidity does not do wonders for makeup. I’ve found a few products that help my makeup stay and keep my face from getting oily. Firstly, is the POREfessional primer from Benefit. It helps my makeup stay put and makes my skin feel smooth. I’ve included the link here. Next, is the Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray. It’s currently on sale at Ulta (What can I say except you’re welcome!) This setting spray is weightless and keeps your makeup looking smooth and practically perfect all day.
I also constantly apply lip balm when I’m in Florida. My favorite is the classic Burt’s Bees lip balm. It’s super conditioning and it’s all-natural. For some color, I recently purchased this Pacifica Beauty lip tint. It’s also all-natural and moisturizing. I got the vanilla hibiscus color and it’s a pretty, sheer, light pink tint.
All of these beauty essentials fit perfectly in my Magical Monograms bag found here. She has such cute Disney accessories and I am just obsessed with this glittery pouch from her. I also use it to store my Disney pins and Parkbound buttons.
I use my iPhone 7 to take pictures at the parks and need a good case with a grip. This case from Rifle Paper Co. works well for me – I’ve dropped my phone many times and it’s still intact. It’s not the most protective case out there, but it’s worked for me so far! Plus, I’m obsessed with anything floral! Because I use my phone all the time at Disney, I need a good portable charger. I use the Jackery pocket-sized charger. It charges my phone super fast and it’s only $15 on Amazon!
Like I said, I usually bring a ton of ears with me to Disney. I have almost 20 pairs and I keep buying more. Can’t stop, won’t stop. The ears in this picture are from Aloha Ears Design and they are 3-D printed. Yup, crazy. You can find her website here and also find her on Instagram to find out when she is restocking next. I love Bibbidi Bobbidi Brooke’s ears and Ears by a Princess (websites here and here.) You’ll also find me wearing my huge collection of Oh Yeah Apparel ears, they’re not making ears at the moment, but they make cute Disney inspired tees now!
