Cocktails at Paddlefish
Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all are had a great week and are ready for the weekend! I know things around here have been quiet lately, but don't worry, there's a ton of new content coming soon! Recently, I got to check out a new cocktail making class and it was one of the funnest things I've done outside of the parks recently!
The class was located at Paddlefish at Disney Springs, on their third floor flex space, with amazing views of Disney Springs. The class was small enough where the bartenders were giving each guest individualized attention, but you didn't feel like everyone was looking at you when you were called out in the class to go up to the bar to make a drink.
One of the best things about the event was that guests got to be super involved! Each person was able to learn how to make a drink and if you wanted you could go up a second time after everyone had their turn to make your favorite, or the last drink that was on the menu.
Speaking of menus, the class was about two hours long and included a five drink menu, all of which everyone got to try, and got a full glass of each time. The menu included some really spectacular drinks, all influenced by the 1920's prohibition era, and most were gin based. If you like gin, you're going to love these drinks. They included the South Side, French 75, Sazerac, Summer Blush, and Passion Le Poire. The last two were made by mixologists at Paddlefish, and both fit the event well. Drinks were paired with light snacks of spinach-artichoke quest dip, fried green tomatoes, Parker house rolls, and fried calamari, which were all full of flavor and went well with the drinks.
While this event was one time only, there is another event coming up with Levy's restaurants at Disney Springs. Terralina Crafted Italian, which recently opened adjacent to Paddlefish, is hosting a one day only event with James Beard Award winning Chef Tony Mantuano. Aperitivo Time is going to be a time to get together with friends and family for a drink and light snacks before dinner. This is an essential part of Italian culture and is being brought to Disney Springs Saturday, August 11!
Guests will be able to go out on the veranda and drink Italian sparkling wines, and family-style bits, which will include Terralina's incredible antipasti tower, fried olives, mini-rice balls, and flatbreads.
This next event will be from 2:30 until 4:30 and tickets are available now! If you've never been to one of these events before, they are so fun and well worth the money being paid. You will not want to miss this!
