My First Dapper Day
Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope you all are having a great week so far! I had the most incredible weekend at Walt Disney World celebrating Dapper Day, seeing some great friends, and getting a tour of Disney Springs! There's going to be more about that tour tomorrow on the blog, but today I want to talk all about my experience at my first Dapper Day!
I had no idea what to expect when I said I was going to go to Dapper Day but I knew it looked like a lot of fun! I knew I wanted to do a simple dapper Disneybound, so I found some old pieces in my closet and decided to give them a new look. That began the journey to become Agent Peggy Carter for Dapper Day.
This skirt was an old dress that I cut the top off of and re-sewed the waistband. The top was a clearance top from the Lauren Conrad line at Kohl's a few years ago. It had this awful rhinestones all over it, so I cut those off and it became a really functional piece in my wardrobe. I made the headband out of some scrap cotton fabric I had laying around, and the belt was originally white, and I painted it red.
To finish off my outfit I headed over to the Contemporary to grab a Captain America pin they were selling, and it really made the whole thing come together, but I never made it back to the purple wall for photo evidence.
All in all Dapper Day was a great success! I loved seeing everyone's outfits and how creative each one was. There was definitely a lot of magic in the air at Magic Kingdom. If you're thinking about going to Dapper Day soon, there's another one this fall at Walt Disney World from November 17-18, and it's sure to be lots of fun.
Well friends, that's it for today! If you were at Dapper Day let me know in the comments what your outfit was. Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with all of my Disney adventures!
Be Magical Today!
