What to Expect at Epcot's 35th Anniversary Celebration
Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you all are having a great week so far. It seems like this week just keeps getting busier and busier, along with the rest of the year, but that's just Fall I think. This really is the busiest time of the year. This week, I'm going to a re-opening party for a friend's business, my best friend's bachelorette party, a Food and Wine Festival Event, and Sunday I'll be at Epcot again for the 35th anniversary!
It's hard to imagine that Epcot has been around for 35 magical years! If you've been around for a while you know how much I love Epcot, and all that it has to offer to guests. Living With The Land is my favorite Epcot attraction, and I could spend the whole day exploring World Showcase without a care in the world. There's a whole lot of exciting things happening for Epcot's 35th Anniversary on Sunday, October 1, and I can't wait to be a very small part of the celebrations.
First off there's some really cool merchandise available for the 35th anniversary just like there was for Magic Kingdom's 45th. Some of it is already available at Epcot inside Mouse Gear and the Pin Station behind Spaceship Earth, and some is already for sale on the Shop Disney Parks App. Other pieces of this collection will only be available on October 1 at Epcot, including the I Was There Collection! All of the day-of merchandise is going to be available at a pop-up shop inside of Epcot just past the Art of Disney store next to Spaceship Earth. The one thing I really want from this collection is this pin, which is exclusive for Annual Passholders featuring Walt Disney and the original model for Epcot!
There is going to be a special celebration stage show located in front of the Fountain of Nations in Future World starting at 10:01. If you love going into the America pavilion and listening to the Voices of Liberty, they are going to be there, along with the Mariachi Band from Mexico! I think this is going to be the highlight of the day by far! When they did one of the stage shows at Magic Kingdom, there were a ton of characters, the president of Walt Disney World Resorts came to speak about his journey with the company and the vision for the future of Magic Kingdom. Friends, this is going to be something you are not going to want to miss, even if Frozen is only a 5 minute wait!
Illuminations is also getting the 35th Anniversary treatment with a special ending for the celebration. I would assume that it's going to be as or more spectacular than Christmas or New Year's Eve, but we won't know until Sunday!
Friends, I hope this helps you plan out your day if your planning on being at Epcot on Sunday, October 1! Let me know in the comments your favorite Epcot memory. Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram to see all of the 35th Anniversary fun and all of my Disney adventures!
Be Magical Today!
