Via Napoli Review

IMG_1086.JPG

I love food.  Probably more than the average person really should. A few weeks ago my mom and I went to Epcot for the day, and it was quite possibly one of the best days ever! Not only did the rain keep most people from heading to the parks, we got to do so much that day, including try a new restaurant, Via Napoli.

If you've been around anyone who loves Disney and goes to the parks often, you'll know that Via Napoli is a favorite among park guests, but we've never been, and we have missed out on so much all these years! This restaurant is located in the Italy pavilion at Epcot, in the very back of the pavilion, and would be easy to pass if you didn't know exactly what you were looking for. The day we went we didn't have advanced reservations, but that wasn't a problem since the park crowd wasn't too big, so we got seated pretty quickly.

At Via Napoli there is a main dining room, and a separate smaller dining room that looks a lot like a banquet hall. We were sat in the banquet hall room right next to a window, which was super nice because we could see right out into the pavilion and people watch while we waited for our food. This definitely enhanced our experience to make us feel like we were more in actual Italy for sure.

Now you should know, before I go into what my mom and I got, we had no idea what the portion sizes were here and we definitely ordered way to much! We could have fed at least another person without anyone walking out hungry.

We started with the special garlic bread because why not add more carbs to your pizza lunch?! This was $3 extra, but calories don't count at Disney and we skipped breakfast. Friends, if you're ever at Via Napoli, get the garlic bread. It wasn't on the menu, but on one of those little card things they just sit at your table showing specials. Then we got the Fritto Misto, which is the appetizer plate for two. Again not knowing how big the portions were here, we we not expecting something to feed 10. So what all is on this appetizer plate? Just fried seasonal vegetables including asparagus, eggplant, artichoke, mushrooms and zucchini, mozzarella, and aracini. If you're going with a big party, then this would definitely be the way to go to have something for everyone.

We also got an individual pizza to share, which again is huge, and easy to share. My mom like more Mediterranean flavors, so we got the Capricciosa pizza that has tomato sauce, mozzarella, eggplant, artichokes, and ham. It was super good, and probably one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

After never going to Via Napoli, and having friends think I was crazy for never going, I now get the hype! 10/10 would go again and in fact we are planning to go again very soon! This restaurant has easily bumped it's way up into my top three favorites at Epcot.

Let me know in the comments what you think of Via Napoli. Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with all of my Disney adventures!
