Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all are having a great day so far, and had a great weekend! I'm super excited about this week because I'm headed to Walt Disney World for a few days, and there's nothing better than escaping the world at home to go where magic lives, even if it's just for a few days. One thing I love doing more than anything at Disney, especially in the fall is bar hopping. There are some really great bars around the parks and resorts, and often times have some of the best food! So today I'm going over my favorite bars and lounges at Walt Disney World!
1. La Cava del Tequila
La Cava del Tequila is located inside the pyramid at the Mexico pavilion and is a great place to ride out those 3 o'clock rain storms, get out of the sun, or just go because you like a great drink! All of the bartenders here are super friendly, and if you go enough they start to get to know you as a "regular" like a barista at Starbucks would. One of my favorites is the blood orange margarita, and I love getting it to drink inside so I can get their delicious homemade guacamole as a snack.
2. Geyser Point
Located at Wilderness Lodge, Geyser Point is still relatively new, but it's already getting a lot of high praise from everyone. I love that you can just get drinks and snacks here, or you can order a full meal. One of the best things here isn't the drink menu, though that is great, but the cheesy brisket dip! If you like bbq, then you're going to love this!
3. Top of the World Lounge
The Top of the World Lounge is a Disney Vacation Club Member only bar, so you either have to be part of DVC, or know someone to get up there, but friends it's so worth it! The views of Magic Kingdom are incredible, and worth the trip outside of the parks to the Contemporary for this one. And the drinks are top notch. The bartender that works most nights at Top of the World is one of the best at Walt Disney World. My favorite drink here is the Bay Lake Sunset.
4. Brown Derby Lounge
Tucked in a corner at Hollywood Studios, The Brown Derby Lounge is an outdoor only seating area with a great menu, great views of the Chinese Theater, and the perfect place to relax on a hot day. One of my favorite things here is the fact that you can people watch and never get bored. Often times during your meal/drinks, the Star Wars stage show, or March of the First Order will be going off at the parks, so there's always something to watch. I love their margarita fight, where you get a classic, mango, and pomegranate margarita. To go with your drinks, I highly suggest the shrimp and grits!
Well friends, that's it for today! Let me know in the comments what your favorite bar at Walt Disney World is! Also be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with all of my Disney adventures!
