The Best of Flower and Garden 2017

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! This week is the first week of my Summer blackout dates for my annual pass until August, so I'm feeling pretty bummed about that. But there is a whole lot to talk about today, like my absolute FAVES from the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! This festival just wrapped up over Memorial Day weekend, and this is honestly one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World.

Today I want to chat about my favorites of this years festival and what I hope they bring back next year. One of the best parts of Flower and Garden is the topiary at the front entrance of Epcot. This was so pretty and every time I walked into Epcot I knew it was going to be a good day because of this. And let's be honest here friends, a day at Epcot, or any Disney park, is better than a day anywhere else, right?

There is so much to see and do at the Flower and Garden Festival that you could never do all of it in one trip! One of the best things to do, especially if you have a bigger group, is to go around World Showcase and try all of the yummy treats that are only around for Flower and Garden Festival. I say this is easier if you have a bigger group because you can share and you don't get full as quickly. (Pro-Tip: This is also a good idea for the fall when it's Food and Wine Festival.) My top five treats from this years festival were:

1. Warm Berry Buckle with Pepper Berry Sorbet from The Berry Basket

2. Warm Cheese Strudel with Mixed Berries from Bauernmarket

3. Beef Brisket Burnt Ends Hash with White Cheddar Fondue from The Smokehouse: Barbecue and Brews

4. Everything from Fleur De Lys

5. Shrimp and Grits with Andouille Sausage, Sweet Corn, Tomatoes, and Cilantro from Florida Fresh

Obviously there was a lot more that I tried, but these are just my favorites and they sure were good! And when I say everything from Fleur De Lys I really do mean EVERYTHING!

There's something really special about Flower and Garden Festival and I think part of it is how creative the cast members who work on the topiaries and flower beds get every year! I am constantly impressed with how beautiful everything is, and how much attention to detail is put into these things. A few of my favorite topiaries from this year were Belle and Beast in France, Bambi, Thumper, and Flower in Canada, and Lady and the Tramp in Italy.

Friends, there's nothing better at Walt Disney World in Spring than Flower and Garden Festival! I hope you got to experience this amazing festival this year, and if not, know that next year is the 25th anniversary and you're going to want to be there!

What was your favorite part of this year's International Flower and Garden Festival? Let me know in the comments!

Be Magical Today!
