Best Ice Cream Spots At Walt Disney World

Happy Wednesday, friends! It's dang hot here in Florida and it seems like my Instagram feed has suddenly been filled with ice cream and all kinds of sweet treats to beat the heat. If you haven't already checked out my post about how to beat the heat at Walt Disney World, be sure to check that out for some great tips! Today I want to focus on a major key: ice cream! There's nothing better than ice cream on a hot summer day. You can get all different types of ice cream across the Disney Parks and Resorts, but I'm going to let you guys in on the BEST spots to get ice cream!

1. Ample Hills

If you find yourself being a lucky soul and staying at Disney's Boardwalk Resort you'll want to stop in at Ample Hills Creamery! Even if you aren't staying at the Boardwalk, you're going to want to make time to stop in at Ample Hills! When you walk in you are instantly greeted by a colorful mural with all sorts of Disney Parks icons, and the smell of delicious ice cream. The thing I love most at Ample Hills is the ooey gooey butter cake ice cream! This is the BEST ice cream I've ever had. Ample Hills has a huge selection of different flavors, and has a flavor that's exclusive to the Walt Disney World Resort. I also love that you can get what's called an ice cream flight, which honestly is the best thing ever invented. With this you get six "mini-scoops" but they really are pretty big, and it's about $10. You can choose up to six flavors of ice cream to eat by yourself or share with a friend, but who wants to share when you can have more ice cream?!

2. Pineapple Lanai

Pineapple Lanai is the only other place at Walt Disney World outside of Magic Kingdom that you can find Dole Whips, so it obviously had to make my list. Dole Whips are one of my favorite park snacks and they are an instant mood booster when you've been melting in the sun all day. What I don't love is having to wait in the ridiculous line at Magic Kingdom to get one. So what I like to do is go over to Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Resort, grab a Dole Whip and hang out on the beach and watch Happily Ever After. This is the perfect way to end a Disney day!

3. Art of Animation

At the Art of Animation Resort they have a decent selection of gelato and ice cream, but the real star is the nutella gelato! I heard about this from my friends over at Oh Yeah Disney, and I knew I would have to try it! If you love nutella and you love ice cream, you're going to love this even more! It's super easy to get to the Art of Animation, and honestly there's so much to do there that if you didn't want to go to a park for a day of your vacation you could easily spend a few hours wondering around the resort looking at everything.

4. L'Artisan des Glaces (Epcot)

The only in-park ice cream place to make my list is at Epcot and is in the France Pavilion of World Showcase. L'Artisan des Glaces is the best in-park ice cream you can get. It is made fresh daily inside of the creamery and there are so many flavors and ways to enjoy it! One of my favorite ways to enjoy ice cream here is as a croque glace, with lemon sorbet and raspberry sauce. This massive ice cream sandwich is made with brioche bread and is the perfect way to enjoy a sweet treat.

Friends, I love ice cream, and there are so many sweet treats to discover at the Disney Parks. Let me know in the comments where your favorite ice cream place at Walt Disney World is. Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram so you can see all of my Disney adventures!
