Best Photo Spots at Magic Kingdom

Happy Wednesday friends! I hope you all are having a great week! This week has been going by really slow, and I am in major need of some inspiration. What better place to get inspiration than Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World?! Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite places in the whole world. I'm constantly inspired by the people and things around me when I'm at the park. Today I want to talk to you guys about the best photo spots at Magic Kingdom, whether you're taking a selfie, or just taking a picture of Cinderella Castle, there are some really special spots inside Magic Kingdom that will definitely add a lot more magic to you your life and your photos.

I think the best way to do this is going to be to break this down by land at Magic Kingdom, and have a few other random places that might not count as a "land" by Disney standards.

1. Main Street USA: Hub Grass

Literally my favorite spot of all time at Magic Kingdom is the hub grass. These areas are to the left and the right right after the Main Street ends and the hub of Magic Kingdom begins. I love this area because it's the perfect area for flat lays, laying flat and "resting" in your photos, or just hanging out with your best Disney pals!

2. Tomorrowland: The Purple Wall

Where there's hub grass in a post there has to be something about the Purple Wall. People asking where the infamous wall is at is one of the questions I get the most on Instagram. So for those of you who may not know, if you turn right like you are going towards Tomorrowland at the end of Main Street and pass the Plaza Restaurant, walk through the Tomorrowland Terrace, and the next wall is the Purple Wall. If you get to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor you went to far! This wall is the perfect place for selfies with your friends, showing off your Disney style, or showing off your latest purchases from The Emporium.

3. Storybook Circus: Pete's Silly Sideshow

One of my favorite places to hang out is Storybook Circus, not only because you can ride Dumbo or get on the train that goes around the perimeter of Magic Kingdom, but because you can meet four different Disney pals at Storybook Circus. I love character photos, and I love the backgrounds in Storybook Circus. You can meet Goofy and Donald in one line, and in the other line you can meet Minnie and Daisy! Usually the lines back here aren't very long compared to Princess Fairy Tale Hall. These photos ALWAYS turn out great!

4. Liberty Square: The Haunted Mansion

Liberty Square is an often overlooked area of Magic Kingdom. This "land" is where Haunted Mansion is, and where my favorite snack at Magic Kingdom is at! (That snack is the spicy chicken waffle from Sleepy Hallow) One of my favorite picture spots is of Haunted Mansion, even though I really don't like that ride. I definitely think the exterior of the ride is photogenic, and it's such an iconic building that everyone knows what it is without having to see the sign for the queue.

5. Adventureland: Dole Whip

One of the most iconic snacks at Walt Disney World is the Dole Whip! The place to get it is from Aloha Isle in Adventureland. Aloha Isle is located right next to The Enchanted Tiki Room, so grab a Dole Whip and head inside and cool off for a bit! Even a bad photo of a Dole Whip is still a great photo because Dole Whips are just that good. Be warned though that these delicious treats melt really fast, so snap quick and get to snacking! A few of my favorite places to take pictures with my Dole Whip is by some trees that are inevitably overgrown to match the theming of Adventureland, or just holding it up to show to colors of the Aloha Isle sign.

6. Frontierland: Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain is one of my favorite rides at Walt Disney World, and definitely my favorite of the mountains at Magic Kingdom! I love that with Splash Mountain you can get photos of the ride from the outside, all around the perimiter, from two different bridges, and if you're quick, from the top of the biggest drop of the ride. The photos from the top of the ride are really tricky to get because you just have a few seconds to get your camera ready, snap the photo, and get your phone or camera put away before you get flooded with water. Any time I get to shoot my laughing place, I'm a happy camper.

7. Fantasyland: Gaston's Tavern

You all know how much I LOVE Gaston, so it should be no surprise that Gaston's Tavern in Fantasyland is on my list. I love the giant fountain and statue of Gaston and LeFou in front of the tavern, and I love all of the architecture in the area. But you all know the real reason I think this is one of the best photo spots at Magic Kingdom is because you can get your photo taken with Gaston himself! This is one of my favorite character meets at Walt Disney World, and I always do it when I have the chance. The lines for Gaston can get long so my biggest suggestion is to get there early before his set starts, and the earlier in the day you go, the shorter your line will be. I would also advise for any character photos to give your phone to the CM working the line, who are usually more than willing to take photos, and have the PhotoPass CMs take your photos.

Usually the people who are working Photopass only take posed pictures, while the CM working the line will take pictures of you talking to the characters, laughing and more interactive photos.

8. Fantasyland: The Little Mermaid Area

I could not talk about Fantasyland without talking about the Little Mermaid area! As much as I LOVE the Tangled restrooms and that awesome new magic shot they have with photopass, I really love how bright and beachy The Little Mermaid area is. I live close to the beach, so this area makes me think of home a lot. I love how much detail is in this area, and how much care the Disney Imagineers put into constructing Prince Eric's Castle to look just like the movie!

9. Cinderella Castle

Obviously if you're going to Magic Kingdom you are going to take some pictures of Cinderella Castle! But friends, before you just stand in front of the Partners statue and think you did great, let me tell you about some spots that are going to really make the Castle look fantastic! I love walking up the ramps on either side of the Castle and taking photos up close of the Castle There is so much detail right there in the front that you would never see from as far back as the Partners statue. I also love taking pictures from the right side of the Castle (the side where you can meet Merida or walk back to the Mad Tea Party). This is always my favorite angle for Castle pictures because even when the lighting isn't great, this area always seems to produce amazing photos!

Well friends, that's it for today! If there are any spots you think are the best photo spots at Magic Kingdom let me know in the comments!

Be Magical Today!
