Where to Get Disney Art

One of the questions I get the most is "Where can I buy Disney art that has..." So today I want to talk about some of my favorite places to get Disney Art. My Disney gallery wall is one of the places I look first when I am in need of some major creativity or just a smile, because all of the pieces are so special to me.

The Art of Disney Store: Main Street USA

Every time I walk down Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom there are a few things I HAVE to do! Go into the Confectionery to see the sweets being made, check out the Emporium for anything new I might want to add to my ever-growing Disney collection, and oogle over the beautiful art at the Art of Disney Store. In the shop they feature Disney artists, laser cels from recent Disney movies, and figurines. Some of my favorite art to get in The Art of Disney are the movie cells. I've recently been able to pick up two Tangled cels, and the detail in them are incredible.

If you don't know anything about movie cell, when the Disney Studios would start a production for an animated movie they would paint individual cels of the animation. When the production was done, they would sell these cels at Disneyland. Now everything is done by computer obviously, but these cels are still beautiful. The last movie to use actual animation cels was The Little Mermaid. You can get cels at the Art of Disney for $40, but know that they don't always have them and they are usually for movies that were recently released.

WonderGround Gallery: Disney Springs

Disney Springs at Walt Disney World is amazing, and if you haven't been since they opened up all of the new Town Center areas you HAVE to go! You are going to love all of the new shops and restaurants! But tucked away in a small corner of the Maketplace Co-Op is the WonderGround Gallery. This is one of my favorite places at Disney Spring because obviously I love collecting Disney art, but this is a place where sometimes you get to meet the artists who are creating some incredible pieces! One of my favorite pieces is "The World of Pixar" by Jerrod Maruyama. I have a few pieces from Jerrod now and I tell you that he is one of the most creative people, and his art is so beautiful!

Disney Store Lithographs

One of the main reasons I order 90 percent of my Disney DVDs from the Disney Store is because all movies that are pre-ordered by a certain date come with free lithographs! These lithographs are so cool, and they are all dated with the year that the movie came out. I have some lithographs from the late 80s and early 90s, and just recently I started collecting them again. Some of my favorite ones are Hunchback of Notre Dame, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Hercules, The Lion King, and Moana!

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is a craft store, like Michaels, or Joanns, but they have a ton of art at the store too! A lot of the art has Disney Princesses on it. So if you're really into Ariel or Cinderella, Hobby Lobby is going to be the place to get cheap art. I've been able to snag some great deals at Hobby Lobby because they ALWAYS have coupons! One of my favorite things I've been able to get there is a Little Mermaid wooden sign that looks like a movie poster.

Friends, if you have any places you love to get Disney art that I haven't mentioned, let me know in the comments!
