Walt Disney World Wednesday: Top 5 Summer Treats!

Happy Wednesday, friends! Welcome back to another Walt Disney World Wednesday! I got an email a few days ago saying my AP was going to be lifted from these awful blackout dates soon, and I couldn't be more excited to go back to WDW in August! In fact, I thought blackout dates ended on the 17th, but it's actually the 11th. So I get a few extra Disney days! But those Disney days are going to be hot, and I'm all about treating yourself. So today I'm talking about my top five summer treats at Walt Disney World!

1. The Classic Mickey Premium Bar

We've all had them, we all love them, they usually make a mess. Yes, I'm talking about the classic Mickey Premium Bar. You can find these at all four WDW parks and all of the hotels at their quick service restaurants. The glory of these is the nostalgia of remembering the first time you went to Magic Kingdom, your dad buying you ice cream and riding Dumbo! That's definitely my story! I'm always ready for ice cream, and Mickey Premium Bars always hit the spot. (They're also great for IG pictures.)

2. Ample Hills Ice Cream

Ample Hills Creamery is located at the Boardwalk Inn Resort, and well worth the trip from your resort to the Boardwalk for some ice cream. I love going to Ample Hills in the middle of my Epcot day by leaving through the International Gateaway and walking over. The actual shop is pretty small, and the seating is all outside, but the ice cream options are numerous, and don't even get me started on M&M cookie cones! You can try as many flavors as you want before you decide, but my favorite is ooey gooey butter cake. It's a vanilla base, with giant chunks of chewy cake! Talk about yum!

3. Dole Whip

Another classic here, but so so good! You can get Dole Whips from a few different places around WDW! The one people know the most is Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom, but you can also get them from Animal Kingdom in Africa, and at The Polynesian at Pineapple Lanai. At Animal Kingdom and The Poly you can get your Dole Whip spiked with rum!

4. Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake

A new favorite that I don't have a picture of because I'm too excited to drink it before pictures can happen, is the peanut butter and jelly milkshake from 50's Prime Time Cafe! You can get this from their bar, which means you can get it as you walk into Hollywood Studios for the afternoon, and enjoy it while enjoying the Captain Phasma Processional! This treat literally tastes like the classic sandwich that your mom would put in your lunch box everyday, and it's now one of my favorite Disney treats!

5. Anything from La Cava Del Tequila

La Cava del Tequila is one of my favorite Epcot hangouts! I love all of the creative margaritas they have, and their guacamole is seriously the best! I'm working my way through the menu right now to try all of the margaritas. The ones I love the most are the avocado, and the beet margarita. If you aren't so adventurous with your flavors they do have the classic margarita! If you can, try sitting inside at one of their coveted tables to get out of the sun, grab a drink and a snack, and take in all of the bartenders hard work!

Well friends, that's it for this week's Walt Disney World Wednesday! Did your favorite summer treat make my list, or do you love something else? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter!
