Dear Sam and Nic...

Dear Sam and Nic,

I know you're really busy so I'm going to try to keep this short, but I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for the inspiration to challenge myself and go outside of my comfort zone. I've been watching your YouTube videos for a while now and I love them. In fact, they are what I look forward to every Friday afternoon. I'm also a major fan of the Real Techniques brushes and my collection is ever growing. Right now I'm in the middle of getting all of the Bold Metals Collection.

Besides your awesome brushes and fab YouTube channel I wanted to say thank you for inspiring me to challenge myself. A few years ago I would go with the same makeup look almost every day because it's what I was comfortable with. I didn't want to mess anything up and I didn't want people to judge my ability to put on liquid eyeliner. But you see after binge watching many many many of your videos I was inspired to switch it up one day and I'm glad I did! In the past few years I've gone from the girl who's worn a gold eye and a nude lip everyday to the girl who is rocking blue eyeliner, the girl who loves winged out cranberry eyeshadow, the girl who is obsessed with finding the perfect red lipstick. (And by the way, I think I have, its NARS Luxembourg.) You both have challenged me to try new things with my makeup, because after all, it's just makeup and if for some reason I don't like it, then I can take it off and start over!

I also wanted to take this moment to say thank you for challenging me to go outside of my comfort zone. Because of makeup I've talked to people I normally wouldn't have talked to because makeup is something I now am really excited about. I've also started a YouTube channel of my own. Right now I'm in the middle of taking on all of the looks worn in Taylor Swift's Bad Blood music video. It's daunting, but so much fun to see how many looks can be created with just navy and black eyeshadow. I would have never thought five years ago that I would be one to have a YouTube channel. I don't have trouble talking to people I know, or people I don't know really, but if you put a camera in front of me then I freeze up. But now I'm excited to film on Wednesdays!

So I say all of this because both of you were such a big inspiration to me for starting something new and challenging myself!
