Open Letter to Karlie Kloss
I hope your Tuesday is going well. I just wanted to drop a quick line to say thank you. I know you're busy and don't have much time to read a letter from someone you don't know, but I think it's important that I tell you some things.
First off, I want you to know, I got into Grad School! Then I decided it was way to expensive and would triple my student debt, so I can no longer go. But please do not feel bad for me. Because of you, I now have an alternative that will cost a lot less money, but will still help me be a valuable asset to employers. Remember how you started the "Kode With Karlie" scholarship? Well I'm 23, so I could not apply. In the weeks after deciding I would no longer be going to Grad School I remembered this program and thought, "Even though I don't fit into the specifications of the scholarship, why can't I learn how to code things?" So that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm in the process of doing research on different programs to teach myself how to code computers, build apps, and so many other things college never offered me. So thank you!
Secondly, I would like to thank you for inspiring me to give up something I know, to go for something new. After I found out you were retiring your Victoria's Secret Angel Wings I was a bit upset. Seeing you and Taylor walk down that glittering runway together is a fashion moment I won't forget. In fact, I hope to see that reenacted in Tampa when my best friend and I go to Taylor's concert! I bet that decision to walk away from a brand who opened up so many doors for you was one of the hardest decisions you've ever had to make. But the opportunities out there for you seem to be limitless. I'm at this weird transition point where I can be comfortable where I'm at, or go for something new. I'm thinking going for something new is what I'm going to do.
So thank you, Karlie. You have truly inspired me in so many ways!
PS- Sometimes my best friend and I dance around like this too.
