1,000 Thank You's!
This week has been nothing short of exhausting. If you read my blog you know Friday's are usually set aside for what's know as "On Fleek Friday" but not this week. I'm not feeling to well and I think I have the itis that has been going around for the past few weeks. I've been quarantined to my house and I don't think you want to see my face during this time, even with makeup on! It's not pretty. But I found out some exciting news this week too, Mingling With Megan hit 1,000 views!
If you missed my blog about why I started Mingling With Megan, I really suggest you go back and read it. That post will really help you to understand why this 1,000 view mark is so exciting for me. When I was writing on Football and Stilettos, I had just over 2,000 hits when I quit. I had been writing there for almost two years. That's not very good site margins. But here on Mingling With Megan I've hit 1,000 views in just over 12 weeks!
I can't thank you, my awesome friends (even if I don't know you) for reading what I have to say about makeup, fashion, Disney, Harry Styles, and the random day out with my friends. I've gotten so many compliments from people saying how much they love reading what I have to say and each time I can't help but be overwhelmed with gratitude. It makes the tough blogs easier to write, and the fun blogs way more fun to write. I don't write for myself, I write for you!
I've been noticed by people I would have never thought would know who I am, or even care about the girl with the smallest blog in the world. But I'm here to tell you THEY DO! Through Mingling With Megan I've gotten to speak with Meg, from Meg's Boutique. Rhodes has favorited one of my tweets about a blog. Tim Myers, who used to be in One Republic now follows me on Twitter. Brynn Elliot from Being Elliot has reached out to me on Twitter. But the biggest "success story," if you can even call it that, I would call it more of a fangirl moment, would be that Lisa Eldridge liked and commented on my pictures after I redid a look she did on Cara Delevingne. Then Lisa used my photo and put it on her personal Pinterest page! Talk about a total freakout. I don't say all of these things to brag, but to say blogging can take you places and help you "meet" people you would have never thought. Including world-famous makeup artists.
So here's to the next 1,000 views! You guys rock, and I probably wouldn't be writing without you.
All the love!
