The Wednesday Review: Revlon Highlighting Palette
Happy Wednesday friends! I don't necessarily know if I can count my Wedneday in the "happy" column because I feel like crap and this is now the second time that I'm writing this post after a mishap with the first time around. But life goes on and I'm sure you want to know what I'm talking about in this week's Wednesday Review. This week is all about the Revlon Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow.
The Revlon Highlighting Palette is a perfect drugstore dupe for the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. This particular palette has four more bronze and rose gold colors, along with one white/ champagne color. The colors are highly pigmented and go on really smoothly. While they may seem really glittery, they aren't. The shimmer is really subtle so the white is a great highlighter, or you can mix all of the colors together for a warmer highlight.
I also use this palette for eyeshadow. I really like the rose gold strip that's second from the bottom to go all over my lid, then put a matte brown shadow in my crease, and a quick line of black liquid or gel liner across the top of my lashline for a bright summer look. There are other color combinations for the highlighting palette but they are always sold out when I walk through the makeup isle at Target. So I would buy this product when you see it, because it might not be there when you go back the next time. I've gone to Target about five times since I've bought my first palette and haven't seen anymore of them in stock.
This highlighting palette is perfect for travel because it's so small and versatile. The packaging is nothing special, but I can easily look past that for the price compared to one from Bobbi Brown or Hourglass, especially for the quality of the product you get. Overall I would give the Revlon Highlighting Palette an A.
Do you love the Revlon Highlighting Palette, or is there another highlighter that you like better? Let me know in the comments. Also let me know any secret remedies you have for getting rid of a sore throat and a headache! Like this post if you think technology is really against you sometimes.
