On Fleek Friday: My Typical Makeup Routine

Happy FriYAY friends! This weekend is jam packed with things, and so far I'm running behind on about half of them. Lately I've been getting a few questions about what products I use, or how I typically do my makeup, so I thought I would do a whole post on it. Unlike most "On Fleek Friday" posts, this one should be relatively short.

So to start off, after some moisturizer and primer (which is Boots No. 7 and Urban Decay respectively) I use the Tarte 12 Hour Amazonian Clay Foundation. Since it's getting warmer and I'm out in the sun more, I'm almost between shades, but I'm still using the lighter one because it's closer to my neck color than the darker shade is. What I love about this foundation is the color range and the texture. It starts off as a really thick mousse texture then as you buff it into your skin it's basically weightless. My PSA for this foundation is that you don't need to much. You can always take more out of the bottle, but it's pretty impossible to put it back into the bottle.

So after foundation I use the Rimmel London Wake Me Up concealer to get rid of any spots and cover up any redness that the foundation didn't cover up. I know this product isn't available in the US, and I got it while on a mission trip to Wales, but FeelUnique.com is a great resource for all of the hard to get makeup brands and they ship worldwide. So when this concealer runs out, I will be buying more from Feel Unique.

Next is brows. There are a million brow products on the market, all of which claim to give people Cara Delevingne brows, but the one I use and get the most comments on is the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil. I love the color range, and really like that the brown that I use is more of an ashy brown instead of a red brown. I also like that the actual product is super slim so your eyebrows don't actually look drawn on.

From brows I move down to eyes, and I've really been loving using my Tarte Bon Voyage palette. I think if I had to pick my favorite palette this would be it. It's got a great mix of colors mattes and shimmers, and the packaging is just beautiful. I typically either go for a shimmery gold eye or some sort of grey just because of my eye color. Today just happened to be gold. The colors I used were "No Champagne No Gain," which is a shimmery gold, all over my lid, then "Merci You Later," which is a matte lilac/brown/taupe color in my crease. Then I took "Chantilly Lace" to highlight my brow bone and the inner corner of my eye. I don't always put liner on the lid, but today I used the Butter London Wink Eye Pencil in "Earl Grey" just at the outer corner.

From eyes, which are not done,  I powder with the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder and go to bronzer. I like the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil in medium. I use this as a contour with a Real Techniques Setting Brush.

I don't use blush because as the Tarte foundation sinks into my skin more the natural pink in my cheeks comes out and I don't need help in that department. The last steps for me are mascara and some sort of lip color. I'm loving three different mascaras today, but today the winner was the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. I like this because it keeps a curl, doesn't flake off, and adds volume to my lashes. Then I get that red lip classic thing that you like with Rimmel London Kate in 111 Kiss of Life. This lipstick stays on literally all day and I don't have to worry about it smudging while I eat, drink, or go about my business throughout the day.

And with all of that this is the final look!

Now I really must get moving to get to my other events today. I hope you guys loved this! If you have any questions about the products I used, or how I used them let me know in the comments. If you have a look you think should be featured in an On Fleek Friday post soon, put those in the comments too. Like this post if you're excited about Easter!
