On Fleek Friday: Leighton Meester

Happy Friday friends! I hope you all had a great week! I know I did with turning 23, and getting to hang out with my family and friends. After taking a few weeks off from doing an On Fleek Friday post because of being sick, or going to Disney, or other things, I'm back and excited about this Leighton Meester look! I wore it last weekend to Disney when we went out for dinner Friday night and loved it, so I thought I would also share it here. The overall look is a very dark smokey eye, with a pink-nude lip, but it's still easy to wear. If you don't know who Leighton Meester is, you might know her better as Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl.

The first thing I did was put on the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation all over my face. I love this foundation for summer because it has SPF in it, and it doesn't feel to heavy. It's also really easy to blend with your fingers if you're in a pinch. Then I used the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlight Concealer pen to do a bit of cover-ups under my eyes, then highlighting down the center of my face.

Then I moved onto eyes. I filled in my brows a bit with the Boots No. 7 Brow Pencil. Leighton's brows are pretty natural looking so I didn't want to fill them in too much. Then I look my Calvin Klein quad in the color "Smoking" to put a wash a black shadow over my lids. Before I actually put the color on my lids, I took most of it off my brush by swirling it around on my hand, otherwise black shadow would have been everywhere. I continued to build up the intensity until everything was even and I liked the darkness of the black.

Then I used a Cargo "Let's Meet in Paris" palette to press some gold shadow over the black. While Leighton's look doesn't do this, I think putting a bit of gold on the top brightens the look up.

I tight-lined my eyes with the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Pencil in black and moved onto the rest of my look. I know I've missed mascara. I like giving my eye makeup a chance to set before mascara.

Because my best friend is awesome and better than your best friend she knew somehow that I wanted the Bold Metals brushes from Real Techniques for my birthday! (It could have been that I've been talking about them since Sam and Nic announced them, but whatever.) So I used my brand new Bold Metals 300 brush to do a bit of contouring with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.

I finished my look with the Kat Von D mascara, which I can't decide if I like. It does the job but the brush is weird. I'm going to have to try it a few more times to have a real opinion about that one. Then I swiped on the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Exclusive in the color 620 Julianne's Nude.

This is the final look:

If you try to recreate this look let me know in the comments how it goes! Like this post if you're ready for a Friday pizza party.
