On Fleek Friday: Ellie Goulding

Finally Friday, or as my friends and I like to say, FriYAY! Today has been one of the most productive days all week, which is why this post is going up a little bit late. Oops. But today's priority item was getting Rolling Stones tickets for my mom and I, which was achieved and we will be going! HOLLA!!

Anyways, as you can probably tell from the title, this weeks On Fleek Friday is going to be Ellie Goulding inspired. If you don't know who Ellie is, this is her! She's beautiful, talented, and basically what I want to be when I grow up.

I love that she doesn't ever look to done up, but still super natural. So that's the look I went for today!

I started with the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream and just used my hands to rub that in all over my face. Then I used the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer to highlight and cover some dark spots on my face. Those spots being down and around my nose, under my eyes, my chin and my forehead.

Then  I took the Boots No. 7 Beautiful Eyebrow Pencil and just filled in sparse spots in my eyebrows. Nothing to crazy or perfect here today. That's what I like about this look is that it's just where the makeup falls is good. Ellie's looks are usually pretty low-key beachy vibes mixed with a bit of rocker chic, so everything doesn't have to be runway perfect.

For the color on my eyes, Ellie is seen a lot with either a light gold wash or a light pink wash of color, so I went pink. I used the Lorac Queen Eyeshadow Palette. I used the two middle colors. The lighter one all over my lid, and the darker one in the crease.

I finished off my eyes with some of the Butter London Wink Eye Pencil in Earl Grey along my water line, and a sweep of the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara on my lashes.

As far as contouring and highlighting, Ellie keeps it as natural as possible. So I used the bronzer from the Smashbox Minibox Palette, in the color Suntan. I kept it really light using a Real Techniques Setting Brush to put the color where I wanted then a blush brush to blend it out. The last thing for my Ellie Goulding look was lips. I used a Tarte lipgloss in the color Visionary. I think this color was limited edition, but there are so many like it still on the shelves. It's a nude dusty pink.

With all of that, which was super quick, this is the finished look:

What do you think of the finished product? Going to try it for yourself? Let me know in the comments. Like this post if you're happy it's Friday and you plan on spending your night trying to eat a whole pizza and dancing around in your pajamas.
