On Fleek Friday: Emma Watson

Happy Friday beautiful! After a long week I'm ready for the weekend. If you have a special someone, or even if you don't (like me) I think this look from Emma Watson is perfect for Valentine's Day. Emma wore this makeup look to the British Fashion Council Awards and looked stunning, but still really natural. And let's be honest, who wouldn't want to be Emma Watson for a day?

This look was really easy and took me about 15 minutes because I get distracted easily and I threw myself a half-way there dance party. I used eight different products all of which will be listed in full at the end of the post. Some of the products are high-end and others are drugstore.

So I started off with a naked face. My hair is already done for the day with a fishtail braid so it is out of the way.

After studying a few different pictures of Emma I noticed that her foundation was really light and not at all full coverage as you could still see many of the freckles on her face around her nose. So I chose a the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream as my foundation because I like the way it looks on my skin and it covers just enough without being overly heavy. Then I filled in my eyebrows with a Smashbox trio palette that has a dark brown color, which is unnamed. Emma's eyebrows for this look were quite dark and full, so I also went for that look. The concealer I used under my eyes was the Maybelline Dream Lumi concealer pen. I just put one tiny dot at the inner corner of my eye and blended that in. This product really goes a long way and also works as a highlighter, and I didn't want to be overly bright.

For Emma's eyes you can tell there is a bit of shimmer, but it's not overly glittery, and it's very brown toned. I worked with a Tarte palette that is limited edition from Christmas, but many of the colors are similar to ones you can find in other Tarte palettes. On my lid I swept a medium gold-bronze color called "Provence upon a time" and blended "Eiffel for you" in my crease. Then as a brow highlighter I used a nude vanilla pink color called "Palace of Versaille." Emma had a really smudgy liner on her upper lid, so I used the Rimmel London Scandaleyes kohl pencil in black to line just above my eyelashes. I then smudged that all about until there was just a faint line of black. The final step for my eyes was the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. I did two coats of this and my lashes looked like I had just put on fake ones.

Before lips, I set everything with my Rimmel London Matte Powder. Emma had a great matte red lip on, which I think really made her whole look that much better. So I used the Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish in the color 111 "Kiss of Life."

The finished look is one I would wear often and it's really easy to do! You don't have to go to Hogwarts to learn how to be a makeup wizard to do this!

You also don't have to launch a world changing campaign for women's rights to rock a look like this.

You just have to know how to have fun, dance to your favorite song, and make sure there's not lipstick on your teeth. (No one thinks that's cute.)

And sometimes you just need to unleash your inner weirdo.

If you think Emma Watson deserves all of the awards go ahead and like this post. Also if you have a makeup look you think I should recreate let me know in the comments! And let me know what your plans are for Valentine's Day in the comments.

Happy Friday, "It's leviOsa, not levisosAR" and #HeForShe

xx,

Megan
