Monday Must-Haves: October 5, 2015

Happy Monday friends! I hope your Monday has started off better than mine, because I woke up with some sort of sickness that has overtaken my body. So I thought this is my moment to talk about what the must-haves are for when we all get sick this season, because let's face it, it's inevitable. 

Sports:

When you're sick nothing sounds good. Not even sports. Well maybe sports sounds good, but just watching on TV. And what do you think I'm watching right now? The Rugby World Cup! I learned a little bit about rugby while I was in Wales, and come to find out it's pretty cool. Yesterday, Ireland beat Italy, and later on this week the USA is taking on South Africa, which should be an easy win for South Africa. 

Social Media:

There's nothing like creepin on Instagram when you're sick to pass the time. Personally, I like to go through any sort of Disney or makeup account. 

Fashion:

If you must leave the house when you're sick, there's only one acceptable outfit: leggings and a sweater. That way you still look decent, but comfort is key. I love Lauren Conrad leggings. They are so comfortable and they last forever! Then when it comes to sweaters, anything will do, but I'm a major fan of the all black look even when I'm sick. Throw your hair up into a messy bun and you're set to go!

Makeup: 

This again goes with if you must leave the house because let's be honest, who wants to wear makeup at home when their sick? No one. The best makeup you can wear out is a bit of mascara. It will open your eyes, and help you look more awake, even if you didn't sleep at all the night before. After mascara, I would say concealer just to cover up any dark circles or redness that comes with being sick. But let's just try not to leave the house, okay?

You might need a pick-me-up while you lay on the couch wallowing in self-pity and hundreds of tissues. That's where Soul Pancake comes in. These are the people who make the Kid President videos, but they also make really awesome videos not staring Kid President. Just make yourself feel better by watching these! 

Movies:

Usually this is where my music section goes, but who actually listens to music when their sick? Most people watch movies. My favorites to watch when I'm not feeling so good are Big Hero 6, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, and really anything else from Disney! 

Food:

There's nothing better than hot soup when your sick. Then put that soup in a bread bowl and you've got a major winner! Broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl from Panera is basically the lifesaver of food when it comes to sickness. If you don't believe me, you really should try it.
