High-Five for Friday
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! What a crazy exciting day today is! There's just a lot going on and I have a lot of feelings and most of them can be expressed through the top five things that happened this week. So let's crack on then.
1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!
Today is my best friend's birthday! If you didn't get a chance to see what makes Emily the absolute gem that she is, then go read yesterday's blog when you're done here. But this is my moment to tell you that Emily has launched her own blog! Go read it! It's fab. And we get to see Taylor Swift in two weeks! It's all just very exciting!
2. PERFECT IS PER-FECT!
Can we just talk about the new single One Direction dropped this morning! First of all, I'm glad it wasn't out of the blue like "Drag Me Down" because that was a major fangirl struggle. Anyways, the song is called "Perfect" and it's so good! If you never liked One Direction before, go listen to "Perfect" or "Infinity" and I'm pretty sure your views will change. "Perfect" is one of those songs that you listen to when you have the windows down and you just jam out because you don't care who's watching you. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to have a rendezvous with One Direction....
3. FACEPAINT IS OUT!
Lisa Eldridge is one of my favorite makeup artists and her book "Facepaint: The Story of Makeup" came out this week and you can bet I got my hands on a copy. I'm so excited to be able to read something that Lisa has been working on for so long and put a lot of hard work and effort into! The images inside the book are stunning and the way the book is set up for the reader is really interesting. It's essentially a book about how we got from Ancient Egyptian makeup to now, but it's not set up in a linear way, the way most history books are set up. It's arranged by topic within a time frame which is super cool.
4. LOU TEASDALE SAW MY BLOG POST!
So if you don't know who Lou Teasdale is, she's One Direction's hair and makeup stylist. She's awesome. Last week I talked about how I was an official salt now because I had applied to go to London to a five-day beauty school course Lou and Nicola Schuller were teaching. Well later Friday night, I get a notification from Instagram saying that Lou saw my blog and it was awesome!
5. I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW!
I finally have a job interview for a season retail job next week! This is really exciting because I haven't had a solid everyday job in a really long time, so I'm ready to not be at my house everyday.
What was great about your week? Did you score concert tickets? Did you find money in some old jeans? Let me know in the comments!
